MoTeC’s GPR Automatic Transmission Package is a versatile and adaptable platform designed for controlling port-injected engines in conjunction with automatic transmission systems. This single product offers a flexible solution suitable for a wide range of engine and automatic transmission combinations, supporting up to 5 gears.
The package allows full operational control of an automatic transmission’s line pressure solenoids, gear shift solenoids, torque converter lockup clutch solenoids, and the manual range selector. Users can fully control gear shift points, torque converter lockup, and line pressure settings. For a complete list of supported capabilities, please refer to the Transmission Compatibility section.
The GPR Automatic Transmission Package integrates seamlessly with other MoTeC devices, providing pre-defined CAN messaging for all current Display Loggers, Loggers, E888 Expanders, Video Systems, GPS, ADR, BR2, PDM, and SLM modules. A Vector database (.dbc) file is available upon request.
This ECU also supports up to 12 cylinders and uses port injectors with Tyco connectors. It features Drive By Wire, Cam Control, Knock Control, and includes 250MB of logging memory for data storage.
Additional features include Traction Control, Launch Control, Anti-lag, and Gear Change Ignition Cut to enhance overall performance.
The ECU is highly configurable, making it suitable for a variety of engine setups, from simple configurations to more complex systems like dual Drive-by-Wire, quad cam boosted engines with a sequential gearbox. Configurable Ref/Sync modes ensure compatibility with many modern engine triggering systems.
Furthermore, this ECU can manage modified road vehicle systems, such as air conditioning control, and offers four additional definable control outputs. Users can customize input and output pin allocations to suit specific needs, and self-updating wiring schematics are provided for ease of installation.
